Volunteer Lagoon

Beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife on our doorstep

Volunteer lagoon is home to the largest and most accessible colony of king penguins in the Falkland Islands.

As well as the penguins, there is a wide array of bird life and keep your eyes peeled for whales blowing out to sea. We also have 1000 breeding ewes that will have lambs between October and January.

Capable camp drivers can make their own way to the lagoon providing they have an adequate 4×4 with big wheels – it is advisable to travel with another vehicle.

If you’re less familiar with camp driving it can be possible to organise a driver / guide however pre-booking will be needed.
