Volunteer lagoon is home to the largest and most accessible colony of king penguins in the Falkland Islands.
As well as the penguins, there is a wide array of bird life and keep your eyes peeled for whales blowing out to sea. We also have 1000 breeding ewes that will have lambs between October and January.
Capable camp drivers can make their own way to the lagoon providing they have an adequate 4×4 with big wheels – it is advisable to travel with another vehicle.
If you’re less familiar with camp driving it can be possible to organise a driver / guide however pre-booking will be needed.
Trips to Volunteer Lagoon
We can provide a car and friendly driver for up to 4 people (or up to 6 with advance notice). Packed lunches can be provided for a small extra cost.
Recommended if you do not have a suitable vehicle, or are not an experienced off-road driver.
Price is for driver only. Landing fee for the Lagoon is payable to the landowner upon arrival.
Please confirm if you want a packed lunch when booking.
