Magellan Beach

Build sand castles or search rock pools on this beautiful beach

A more quiet and peaceful beach with the occasional visit from penguins and seals.

Just a 10-minute drive or a half hour walk leads you to the easily accessible Magellan beach.

At the far east end of the beach the remains of the Magellan wreck can be found. The best place for fishing is below the gate on the rockier west end.

From the end of February to the end of March, just in land from the beach, the ground is a carpet of local tea berries. Take a tub and pick a few, these are really good made in to a cheesecake, pavlova, jam or just add them to a simple sponge mix.
