Carysfort & Dutchmans Island

Home to our herd of 60 friendly breeding Hereford X cows.

Sharing this beautiful and large area with the cattle we have our 1800 hoggets (1-year-old sheep).

At times of low tides, the boiler from an old ship wreck (Guvernoren) can be seen, on the beach you’ll find the huge anchor and chain from this old ship.

The coast is home to many Jackass penguins but Gentoos will also be found here. In the summer months seals will often been found dotted along the coast basking in the sun.

In this far north corner is Dutchman’s Island a tussock island named after a German man. The island is accessible during low tide but be sure to keep an eye on it as it sneaks in.
